FABRICA Workshop. Designing processes rather than art. Workshop held by science fiction writer and generative art critic Bruce Sterling (EUA).
What attracted us to doing this project was that crumpled paper symbolized the idea thrown away. The elements from the beginning got a new value, we liked that symbolism, and therefore our pattern seamed perfect for symbolizing the idea. It was perfect to describe the place where you will put your new ideas, good and bad. So it was used as a pattern for a cover of a notebook for ideas. Its harmony and complexity fascinated all of us. It’ s deep and you feel like you can always discover new curious details and shapes on it. And it just invites you to be creative an put your ideas onto paper which was initially our intention for the function of our product.
